"Unique melodies at 0:00-0:05 and 0:10-0:20, does anyone know where they ORIGINALLY came from? Don't focus too much on bass and drum. -- Known info: This 30-second-arrangement was made around March 1989 by a Finnish hobbyist called "Zardax". He only called it "Tune 7", although some collector somehow called it "Magic Flute" (still in 1989). -- "Zardax" himself said in 2012 "that he heard the melody on some TV-show, and he don't think it Mozart", and a 'fan' added: "I also know the melody from a german TV commercial, some sparkling wine company spot. I contacted their press department about it, but never got a reply.""

@musicfan1994: Thank you, this is welcome to me, too, even though, as you suggest yourself, it is 'only' similar and not as close.

@Alemann: Your YouTube link is exactly what I need (turns out I don't need to know where on TV it was used) so I want to confirm it, only you have yet to turn it into a proposal. :-) I am curious: How did you find it anyway? Pure memory? Some logic? An app?

Probably doesn't help, but there was a piece by Handel which has a similar melody to your sample. That piece is his Passacaglia in G Minor. Some of that piece the creator of the piece in your sample was probably influenced by.

Ah, quick addendum: The 1989 one seems to be a re-release; according to https://youtu.be/DekevCCICaY and https://archive.org/details/Coloursound_CS_61_Industrial_Signatures_Jingles_Trailers it originally was on a 1985 B-side.

Wow... probably not wrong, downright amazing! 0:10-0:20 matches note by note, and both sample and original are in the key of E! (Well, sample sounds like D# but that's another story.)

Thank you very much, Alemann! You should make a proposal already (although I have yet to check with a friend for confirmation).
