Somewhere in dark
My lungs get drown

The feel is getting stronger
As these walls are closing in
So take my hand
I feel I'm going under
As these waves crash down on me" -

"i personally think that theyre either north american or canadian. their accent sounds more like a canadian accent but it could also be just how the clip sounds.Definitely sounds European. The accent sounds like they could be somewhere around Estonia or Finland. I also do not believe it is from an adult film. As some others have said, it sounds more of a romance song than a song that may sound suggestive, like "ulterior motives" can easily be seen as sexual, but there isn't any lyrics in this song that give off that sexual vibe. Either way, we are closer to having this be found! -

"Hi Jamie,
As there is no soundtrack album for the film, the only way we are aware to hear the song is through watching the film Stranger in the Mirror.
If the songwriter or artist released it on an album or as a single we have no knowledge.
Sorry we can’t be more helpful."
So unfortunately, it looks like the only way to listen to the song is if you listen to the film. There was no soundtrack album ever released, and they are not aware of the artist or writers having ever released it on an album or as a single, if they ever did.
I am going to propose "When They're Through With You" by the two songwriters as the answer, but there is no audio of the song available to listen to anywhere.

Hello,
I'm writing to try to identify the name of a song used in a film you wrote the soundtrack for, A Stranger In The Mirror from 1993. Do you recognise this track as one of yours?https://www.watzatsong.com/en/name-that-tune/760576.html I am sorry for the only 30-second sample we have of the music.
Regards,
Jamie.

Hello!
Thank you for your email. Apologies for the lateness of this reply.
After a bit of a search we were not able to find the name of this song since it was not composed by Amin Bhatia or his colleagues. We remember the song name was “When They’re Through With You”.
We hope that is of help.

Hello Arlene,
Thank you for your email and for confirming it was not Amin's work or any of his colleagues. Although that rules him out and brings me back to square one pretty much, the fact you remember the title does help a lot, because it confirms that I do in fact have the correct title but also tells me that it could still have been a film from that era. It is just a case of searching for the film in particular, and possibly contacting people aphiliated with that film.
You might not know this, but do you know what film the track was used in?
I am sorry to be so exacting and to take up your time in this manner.
Regards,
Jamie.

Hi Jamie,
We believe it’s from Sidney Sheldon’s “Stranger in the Mirror” produced circa 1992.

Hi,
Ah yes, the film based on the book of the same name, I think. Do you know who composed that film's soundtrack?

Hi again Jamie,
Amin Bhatia composed the score for Stranger in the Mirror.
He did not compose the song “When They’re Through With You”, nor does he know the writer of that song.
All the best,

Do you know if someone external not in Amin's circle was brought in to compose things for the score to go along with Amin's compositions for that film? Also, does he know who the vocalist is on the track When They're Through With You?
I am sorry if any of these questions are uncomfortable for you or him. If you do find any of them uncomfortable, please let me know. If you don't wish to answer any one of them, you do not have to. I will understand. :)
Regards,
Jamie.

Goood luck in your continued research.

Hi Arlene,
Thank you for your very detailed response and for digging more through your archives to find all the information. You have been very kind, and I thank you immensely. The information you have given me will be very useful in helping me track down the song itself, and find who the singer is, and if I need to do any other research.
Thank you so much for the very useful info you have provided me with. It will go a long way towards me solving the mystery of who sung it once and for all. :D
I really appreciate all your help, and I now feel like I am one huge step closer to cracking the case.
Best regards,
Jamie.
I contacted one of those publishers, BMI, but unfortunately have not received a response as of yet, which is why I decided to publish the conversation with the wrangler here now instead of later.
