Hmm, I had a thought, that it might be from the direction of Hamburg because of the words "flüsterst" and "durch (mein Fenster)" at the beginning. He pronounces both with an ö or o (flösterst, dorch), if you understand. I know that from some people from that part of Germany. But that was just my theory, if your friend is sure, then it's mostlikely Saxon.

As for the GDR theory, I'm not entirely sure. The YouTuber wrote to me that it must have been a site for free music for videos. In his Minecraft Bill Gates video, he linked ccmixter.org below for his music, but I didn't find anything there. There are words in the lyrics that are hard to understand, but we don't have to go into too much detail, we just need to guess the title.

A long time ago, I was searching for the titles "What goes..." and "Take me higher", because it seemed that musiikki12 was hitting the right words, and now we see that's true. But now there are really more options that we have to take into account, as Amatieris said.  Like, what is this "Streets of love", sounds like "Love Parade" to me, but it could be anything.

Let's just hope it's not something too obscure and that the title is sung by a woman. 😁 With this audio from digitizedbyfulop94 the chances of finding this song have increased though.
