Some more details: For some reason I think the piano melody sounds like it was made from rearranged samples of a jazz recording with a beat added, and edited with software. The actual composition and instrumentation is far more complex than this, this is just roughly the melody.
This may not be helpful, but the song was once used as background music for breaks between songs, I think ~2016/7 in a radio station in Mexico, where I currently live. not sure, but possibly a station which played pop music in English from the 80's/90's/00's, such as Mix FM (https://mixfm.mx), which I often listened to.
