ChemistrySet
You can hear the mixed/mastered version of our 1981 song "I am a Vapour" (plus the remake recorded in 2015) on our recent CD release 'Experiments from the Lab', mastered by Grammy-winning audio engineer Michael Graves at Osiris Studio in LA.
At least 5 other snippets are/were "lost waves". Hear the full songs (that were previously just 10 second snippets floating around back on the 80s airwaves) beautifully restored from the original tapes on Experiments from the Lab, our 13-song compilation (1981-87) featuring our more popular songs, including Chemistry (theme song), Iron Curtain (1982 and 2014), King's Gambit (aka 'Gambit' as titled by WDHA on "Best of NJ ROCK COLLECTION IV" vinyl album, 1984), and I am a Vapour (1981 and 2015). Check it out. We are independent artists, not on a major label: http://www.chronoglide.com/Equation_mc33.html and please follow, subscribe, or buy at https://chemistryset4.bandcamp.com/music
Let us know if you have any more snippets that you 'think' might be Chemistry Set (Steve and I were guests on WFMU as the duo Sound FX prior to Chemistry Set), and our songs from that era: 1979-81 were aired on WFMU and other local NJ radio stations, including Carpe Diem, Barbar's Birthday, Purpose of the Moon, Grinding Wheel, Cosmopolitan World, and I am Vapour. Can't believe NY80sTapes still had those recordings off the radio from 1981-82. Early '80s synthesizer/new wave/prog-dark wave/dance pop/satirical-political/instrumental, we experimented with all of it.....Announcements on future releases will be posted here: https://www.chemistryset-80smusic.com/
