I always share knowledge to everyone who wants to learn something. 😁 In my beginnings of doing this hobby, I also learned from the older generation. 😊 Although, there is not much to learn: when you learn the basics, then creation begins, your personal song-detective talent manifests itself, but all this is up to 10% - the rest is effort and hard work - searching, listening to dozens or hundreds of songs - daily.
Certainly, there is hope for your other songs, although it's possible that the search will take longer. Our problem is the number of songs out there, and we don't have enough time to listen to them all. That's why searching for songs is a marathon, not a 100-meter race.
As for this song, it's really funny how the title is actually the clearest word. Often it's the other way around - we understand everything except the title and there are many such songs on WZS. So, I also have to admit that I don't understand half of the "People" song, only some parts of the text, for example "People, listen to my only plea" (2:18), but what he says at 2:29 - I have no idea, and I would really like to know. I guess even native English speakers don't understand all the words.

I found the song through Advanced Search, but I also searched for a couple of hours. However, it didn't last for days, because I saw your request 6 days ago when you put it in the Premium request. When I listened to the song, I was delighted and had to find it!
Certainly, because of the "People" title, it was like looking for a needle in a haystack, and I struggled just like you and everybody else. I even constantly used the "1970s" and "People" filters, because I had no doubts about the title and the decade. I knew that the genre was either Rock or Funk/Soul, or both. Of course, I only listened to songs whose title starts with "People" or is just "People", and if it had some attribute before "People", I skipped those songs, with the exception of the words "Happy" and "World".
However, the song is really very hidden due to the large number of songs with this word in the title, so, after a lot of spinning, tricks, attempts and efforts, the winning combination was: People (Track title) + 45 (Format), click on Search; then I added the decade "1970s" and sorted under "Most Wanted". This brought the song to a pretty close second page of the listing. 🙂
Let me add that I also thought it might be under "Psychedelic", but since it was not certain, I did not use that filter in the final, successful search. Experience shows that sometimes it's easier to find a song using fewer filters, because it's all about guesswork, and if we don't guess just one thing right, we're looking in vain. But when you are sure, then filters are still the safest way.
It's an even bigger challenge to find the instrumentals because we don't have a track title there, and usually we have to wait for someone to come across them by chance or for that someone to listen to a bunch of similar music from the 1970s and find them, where "Funk/Soul", "45", "1970s", and maybe "Most Wanted" filters might be helpful. However, in order to narrow down the number of songs, you need to be lucky enough to hit all the filters, and then patient to listen to all that music - because there is no skipping, you have to listen to all the songs. 😁
