"Grew up in the '90s with chiptunes on a C64, a PC with AdLib/Sound Blaster, a bit of Amiga.

Don't know much real music, but taught myself to transcribe by ear on anvilstudio.com, later directly on my piano-keyboard, and figure out SOME key-signatures.

It enables me to use musipedia.org (and perhaps imslp.org) to find a FEW classical or old pop songs. Quite some old games use them in very varying styles and quality.

No other tools, even Shazam doesn't work for me."

"(Testcard 2/3) Found in a 1982 computer demo program, which refers to this as "Allegro" and "Mozart". The key of A# is not to be believed. The computer musician can't be asked as he sadly passed away in 2018. Full 1:26 in comments. (Don't take my word for it, but I imagine it to be for orchestra with brass and violin, rather than piano.)"

"https://voca.ro/1fqGVOs7D98i - For that sample, I've linked two songs together, both loosely oriental, certainly very eerie, most likely from *one* PC game from the mid-'90s, and most likely with different timbres and volumes (but same notes, tempo, and *basically* same instruments). For the technology-savvy: the game must've used the XMI format. Found in a 1998 amateur game ("programmed" using Klik'n'Play) under the filenames 16.MID (4:35) and 19.MID (3:40)."

"(Nibelungen 4/4) From 1985 computer game "Nibelungen" that also plays Handel and Bach. Becomes polyphonic at 0:04. 4/4 time in MINOR key I presume. Rather slow, circa 107 bpm. Full 1:23 with visible keys: see comments. Fairly similar to the "Nibelungen 3" sample I posted here at the same time (except that Nibelungen 3 is longer and in MAJOR (I presume). Maybe both came from one suite? Coincidence? Or illusion because the beepy instruments are so similar on their own? More importantly, what are their titles? :)"

"(Nibelungen 3/4) From 1985 computer game "Nibelungen" that also plays Handel and Bach. Becomes polyphonic at 0:06. 4/4 time in MAJOR key I presume. Rather slow, circa 100 bpm. Full 2:12 with visible keys: see comments. Fairly similar to the "Nibelungen 4" sample I shall post here at the same time (see that for minor speculation)."

"No voice. Lively jazz (dixieland?) except first two seconds which sound like an intro. Drums, trumpet, piano, probably bass, A-major. From a private homevideo where the TV is probably on and nobody cares (1991/92, 6 pm in Germany). Maybe a movie with a band in the background? The digitized video is still a bit noisy, but I cut a little bit and it's fairly easy to hear from 0:10. The sample's end is not cut, the old video lasts 0:30 too."

    It is definitely Slavic, but I cannot place it. She is saying "Neznost" which means tenderness in many Slavic languages. It is either Slovenian, Czech or Slovak.
