"Hello, I believe this to be a Middle Eastern song, possibly Arabic. From what I recall, a woman or perhaps a band with a woman as the lead was/were playing it in a concert, so I would guess it is at least known outside of Middle East. I think it was not entirely instrumental. Not sure if it was a belly dance song. I recall it hearing it at least 5-10 years ago, but it could be way older, but can't find the video anymore. The instrument closest to the sound I recall was a violin (which i used in the sample, the notes are accurate, however I could not get the time signature right!), but it might be another instrument that sounds similar. Thanks for your help!"
