Mecanorma, a French company, was a principal supplier of instant rub-down lettering globally. In 1995, Mecanorma ceased participation in the professional graphics market. Their rub-down lettering merchandise was produced by Trip Productions BV during this period. In 2004, International TypeFounders (ITF) obtained license for digital typefaces from Trip Productions BV, leading to the release of the Mecanorma Collection.

jimi1310 commented Il y a 3min"I've just looked it up after seeing your comment: the digital version of the font is from 2004, but it existed as a Mecanorma transfer font way before then.
Mecanorma ceased operations in 1995 and I remember seeing that exact font on some magazines when I was little in the late 80s and early 90s.
