  • "It's ok. Unfortunately, I don't know any Hungarian poems either, and even though I know some Folk songs, they aren't as sophisticated harmonically as this, unless it's a modern arrangement of one? I wouldn't know who to ask or where to start though. Do you think I should contact Anselm Grün? Do you think he'd know?

Well, I don't have that much experience searching Hungarian websites, although I did try to look for the origin of this particular poem. Experienced in the sense that I don't know exactly where to look and, above all, whether there are many Hungarian websites for this.
At least I thought that a well-known folk song or poem had to be mentioned somewhere, but that wasn't the case.
It might be better to ask a real Hungarian teacher (who teaches Hungarian) about such a poem if you knew one.
By the way, the "real" Anselm Grün is a German Benedictine priest, he writes spiritual books. Also has other web and YT pages with the same name

Anyway, as always, I like your attitude and communication skills, musicfan1994 (and you are never afraid to talk to strangers).
