Nuffty answered 23min agoArthur Greenslade & The Gee Men? - Top Gear
-
Nuffty commented 26min ago"Me again on this matter - good news and bad news. The tune is definitely called "Top Gear" and was written by "J. Woodhouse / A. Boyce", who were none other than the BBC's Bernie Andrews and Jimmy Grant. It was first recorded in 1964 by Sounds Incorporated. But the version you're looking for AIN'T by Sounds Incorporated. The earlier version I posted last time was definitely recorded by Arthur Greenslade & The Gee Men. Maybe the wanted version is a re-recording by Arthur Greenslade, but I couldn't verify this. So the question remains: Who is the artist / performer of this one?"
