I know this name, Denise LaSalle, I see her all the time on Discogs, but the title is quite a surprise, and I must admit that I didn't research that part of the lyrics, although I heard "Back to --- something" but I never went to Discogs with "Back to" because I didn't know the 3rd word, and only with "Back to" there would be a lot of songs to check.

Also, I really like that you used multiple search methods: Google software, keyword recognition, Discogs, YouTube, WhoSampled, it was great and clever detective work! 😊 And no people, I'm not jealous 😁, because I don't use software, so I couldn't have found this song except by accident.

Maybe it would happen one day, in a couple of years or so, because I search a lot and I often come across this singer - she always reminds me of Lisa Bonet, who played a singer with a similar last name in my favorite movie "High Fidelity", Marie DeSalle. Also, Lisa Bonet's name was Denise on the "Cosby Show". But, I rarely opened Denise LaSalle songs, TBH.

So thank you very much, I admire your skills and if you have solved this, you have a talent for this hobby. 😊 Also, thank you for describing the search to us step by step, many people hide it, and I, like you, am an open book, so I appreciate that quality.

Admittedly, I describe the search only if another audio detective asks, because most requestors are not interested, but the truth is that we keen searchers are always interested if we can't guess how someone managed to find a song. 😁

This was a hunt where we didn't know if we were hunting a real song or a non-existent one. All we had was the feeling that it must be something - someone - because that female voice sounded like someone authentic from the 1970s, not some hired no-name singer from the 2000s or a production vocalist.

The case is really closed now, finally! Just look at all those suggestions, some of them were really imaginative and funny. 😂 I'm sorry, I won't confirm right away, because before that I have to close my quiz number 5 - March so it can be with the other songs from its group 🙂, so I'm going to give a hint to people, right away. 😁
