Estragon commented 20s ago"Thanks for the additional info - I can at least exclude some genres like some heavier metal genres and most punk then, I assume. And does that mean it was likely played on the radio, in kids tv shows or maybe in stores etc? If yes, then it's likey not super obscure and likely pop. You also excluded rap/hip hop, right?"

"Not sure - sounds about the same..."
I thanked him for his help and said it was very much appreciated.
So, all that remains for me to do now is listen to the entire unofficial soundtrack and compare every single track (all 27 of them) with the sample of the track we have, and see if there are any closer matches to track 16. Once I have done that, and if I find no more closer matches, then we can conclusively mark this request as solved, and close it.

"I co-wrote some of the music for the film.
The first part of track 16 sounds like something I may have come up with, and the rest sounds like Steve. Not sure, but I think so.
AB"
So, still no info about the tracks being titled or not, but I am getting closer. I have just sent him an email thanking him for his response and asking him again whether or not they were titled, but this time I only put that in the email, and nothing else. I will see what he responds. Speaking of, he has just responded, and said "No idea.". Should I ask him if he knows of anyone who would know or if I should check with Steve?

On this forum post https://moviechat.org/tt0105792/Waxwork-II-Lost-in-Time/58c759c76b51e905f67b7af0/waxworks-2-soundtrack someone asks about one of the soundtracks from the film, although in this one https://ffshrine.org/archive/t-212360.html the OP has ripped the complete score, possibly including the track we are after, and has uploaded it, both in MP3 and WAV versions, but the links they provided don't work anymore. Here is the description OP provided:
"HAPPY HOLIDAY!
This is a rip of the isolated score track from the blu-ray of Waxwork II. So completely clean music, no fx or dialogue. The original audio from the blu-ray isa lossy AC3 format. I ripped to .wav files as well as MP3. Both of which are linked here. I titled the tracks myself, as there are no titles to be found. Feel free to change them yourself if you don't like them. ENJOY!!!
WAV Version
https://mega.nz/#!BdtEXTYZ!JchCUR5eh0K1WgYujmkz9HsPPteqS5yW9Boj25s-jCA
MP3 Version
https://mega.nz/#!gI83GZAR!LZ0lzUgqf5qCd0r3TBf4HmK3nSNOicpccGQuuh2CXeA
"
As you can see, the rips in both .wav and .mp3 formates have been uploaded to Mega.nz however the links don't work anymore and both say the file has been removed by the uploader (MP3 version) or that the file has been removed, but not by the uploader (.wav version). However, we could put the links into the Wayback Machine (archive.org) and see if perhaps the wayback machine has archived them, the audio of both links that is. What I must tell you, though, is that from the OP's post on that forum, he says he has named the tracks himself, since there are no titles to be found anywhere. If we can somehow download those files, possibly from the Wayback Machine (if they are even archived for download still), we may be able to find the track we are looking for within the score rip.

"Hi Jamie,
I can put you out of your misery. I was composer on Waxworks II Lost in Time. I invited Arthur and Robert to add keyboards, and they did a great job. I remember that cue. The director wanted something that sounded a bit like Enigma. The drums were intended to match Zepplin Levee Breaks. I used an Akai 1000 sampler. The cue takes place when Zack and his girlfriend Monika the main characters are transported back to medieval times. I added monks chanting and all the usual Enigma stuff. Hope that helps. All the music in the film was a bit comedic and the story was meant to be a tribute to a few classic fantasy, horror, and sci fi plots.
Anyway.... Thanks for your interest.
Steve"
I asked him if he was saying that he was the composer, what the cue's name is, and if it was released anywhere or where I could listen to it, but he hasn't responded yet. I will let you know what he answers with, though.
