EagleZap28 commented 19min ago"What a story, I never thought that a song like this would end up in the video I saw, by any chance, do you know what the lyrics are? I speak Spanish and some words sound familiar to me like:
"Cometer un suicidio político",
"Para servir fin político"
"Porque hoy su principal"
"Oportunista"
"El verdadero sentido, dando salud"
"Hello there, I was the one who found this song with Bocadefumo. I'm sorry I didn't show up earlier, but I had some problems logging into my account (I forgot my password). Firstly, I identified the song as Angolan, from the period 1974 to 1978, because it mentions two Angolan liberation movements/parties (FNLA and UNITA) and talks about political issues such as opportunism and mobilising the people, something that was forbidden until the Portuguese Revolution of 1974 (Angola was a Portuguese colony), as well as sounding like recordings by other Angolan artists from the same period, such as Carlos Lamartine and Teta Lando. Later, Bocadefumo finds an Angolan newspaper with an interview with Santocas (https://issuu.com/medianova3/docs/1427 page 22), in which he is asked which song he would like to sing at that political stage in Angola, and the answer is the lyrics of the song we were looking for! With this information, I search for Santocas on YouTube with various terms related to the song. Unsuccessful in the first search, I remembered a term that was repeated a lot: O Oportunismo (The Opportunism). That's when I found a song with the same name, which is what we were looking for! The funniest thing is that it's mentioned in the same newspaper on page 20 😂Muchas gracias por encontrarla, Was it easy to find? -
