  @fullsailor, I think the SC link above contains the longest existing sample the OP had ( https://soundcloud.com/user-407385081-377594150/md03-from-dj-mix-198788 ) since this 3mn sample comes straight from that 1988 mix provided in the description of that request, the DJ who played back time didn't play more than 3 minutes of it /:

  Yes it's true the artists kinda sound the same and then it could be a demo/unreleased PROVIDED THAT they are truly the same. I believe there is still a small chance for this song being made by different artists... who knows!   the first song in the mix sounds ALOT like the artist in this song and I believe they are the same, the artist of the first song is moskwa tv and here is the song https://youtu.be/uSzRf7TSTvQ?t=97, i cant find this song in the released songs so it must be a demo or unreleased

  Well it seems this DJ (Michael Dianella) made that mix back in 1988... I highly doubt he'd remember that specific track. He probably made hundreds of other mixes in his (local) DJ career... if not more! (x

  My shazam result for this is OTC - Dance Floor but that can't be right. Searching for that brings up a Spotify artist with songs from 2018 that probably has nothing to do with this. What about just contacting the DJ named on that podcast?

  And when it comes to the longer sample, I checked the full 3mn song from the link and no lyrics till the very end of the song... so I guess a longer instrumental sample wouldn't be of any help, sadly.
