  I’m the one who sent the file. It’s DTs style, but there are enough details that ensure it’s not something they have done : petrucci’s sound, mike protnoy’s style, the fact that the synth sounds like rudess although he wasn’t in the band in the early days of DT etc...
  So yes the metadata is wrong, I don’t recall how I got this but it was at least 13 years ago.

  Brst, the metadata has been added afterwards by the person I got this file from, they named the artist Dream Theater just because it kinda sounds like something they would play. Though who knows if it's some DT's old demo, it might be.

  It almost sounds like something out of the Emerson Lake and Palmer catalog of tunes. It has the same sound quality in a lot of respects. But the tune is not familiar to me, specifically.
