"It was featured on the TV Show the shield season 5 episode 5 "trophy" back in 2005. I've been looking for it everywhere for years now. Shazam can't find it. I've tried to reach the music supervisor ... almost 20 years now."

"For 52 years I have been trying to decipher what this tune could be. A friend of mine recorded it on a reel-to-reel tape from a radio broadcast, but unfortunately he couldn't remember the title or artist. The music is instrumental, an acoustic guitar plays the repetitive base, over which another guitar and a violin "argue". The tape was lost a long time ago, and I played the chords forming the basis of the song... relatively accurately..."

"I recorded this in 2017 traveling in Nashville studios. Can't remember where I was since I was quite drunk but I just love this song and need to know more about it, haven't had any luck looking up lyrics from it. Any ideas? Would be great if it's easy finding but honestly this is good enough to be an EKT part 2 if others feel the same way. Just wish I remembered anything else but I can't."

    "Thanks for the comments, everyone! I agree that this track sounds very similar to Mr. Vain.

    But, I will note that I find it hard to believe Karrujah created this instrumental herself. This album does contain a few songs that appear to be self-produced, but these are of much lower and more amateurish quality, noticeably made on GarageBand. I'm a big fan of this artist and I could be wrong, but I really don't think they could make something as 'professional' sounding at that point in their career. In fact, the entire album was created on GarageBand according to the files' metadata, and wasn't released outside of SoundCloud.

    In my opinion, the only tracks with 'advanced' sounding production are this one, "Dance With My Boyfriend" (already identified as a Eurodance instrumental track from YouTube), and "Pochahontas" (which is also unidentified and I was considering posting here). I suspect this is because they are stolen/sampled; this isn't the first or only time this artist used instrumentals from the internet.

    So, in short, I wouldn't be surprised if this is somebody's else's reproduction or sample/rehash of Mr. Vain. I wonder where the original could even be found though."
